Welcome New American

Every two months the Fairplex in Pomona hosts a naturalization ceremony where more than 5,000 immigrants take an oath to become citizens.  As they leave the Fairplex gates, they pass through a "Free Information Zone" where political parties can distribute literature to persuade these new citizens to join their party.

Republicans and Democrats are always there, but third party attendance is spotty.  Our "Welcome, New American" Outreach Project will correct that.

Becoming a new citizen is a joyous occasion, written on people's faces as they exit the gates.  Many are curious about what political parties have to offer and are willing to accept literature.  It's a perfect time to give them our best shot.

And our best shot is good indeed.  Take a look of the LP's beautiful outreach pamphlet, "A New Vision For America," at LP Stuff.com.

Besides distributing pamphlets, we address people who have questions about our party.  You'll meet interesting people.  I've talked to people from Iran, Albania, Turkey, and Iraq.  Each has a story that makes you thankful for America.

For a ceremony schedule, see Fairplex.com, click on  Calendar, search Naturalization.  The next ceremony is on Wednesday, May 30, at 9 am.

Would you like to be there? Then contact me at: dfern2@verizon.net, Region 67 Representative.
